Helen joined Riverside in April 2021 and has recently stepped in to be our Clinical Lead, she has worked in care since leaving school. After qualifying as a registered nurse, she worked in the NHS in a variety of settings but since moving to Dorset she has worked in the care home sector. Therefore, Helen brings a wealth of knowledge to the Riverside team and with her caring nature we believe she will be a real asset.
Sue joined Riverside in February and has previously worked in travel and tourism, including the Front of House Department in hotels. She has a strong administration/reception background and will be the first point of contact for many relatives and friends contacting the home either by telephone or email. Sue is always happy to assist with making arrangements for relatives to visit residents. Please feel free to message her any time if questions arise.
Sarah Bayliss is a Team Leader at Riverside Nursing home. Sarah's experience in the care sector and her dedication to delivering the best quality care to the residents makes her an asset to the care team.
Sarah is a bubbly, passionate person and very focussed on helping drive the home forward. Sarah will always aim to ensure that the individual needs of our residents are met, she spends a lot of time talking to each individual and getting to know them.
Her background in the Navy helps ensure that our focus on the excellent high-quality service we promise is always consistent at Riverside Nursing Home.
Manoj Kuruvilla achieved a Diploma in Nursing in his native country India and joined Riverside as a senior health care assistant in 2005 where he remained working in this role for eight years before leaving to gain more management experience in another home.
Manoj has always been held in high regard and was invited to return to Riverside as Team Leader in 2018 where he continues to support the Manager and the team to this day.
Kathleen is a very experienced nurse bringing many years of training and knowledge to the team. She joined Riverside a year ago and is now the lead coordinator for Gold Standard End of Life Care in the home.
Her knowledge and vast experience in this role ensures that residents have the highest standard of care at the end of their life and their friends and relatives are also cared for at this difficult time.
Thresiyamma (Lissy) Saji
Lissy joined Riverside as part of our night duty team supporting the team with the delivery of excellent care.
Lissy is an experienced nurse who has achieved a Diploma in Nursing in India. She has been working in this country for over 16 years and we are pleased that she has agreed to join us and help us continue to deliver the high standard of care we are known for at Riverside.
Saji has achieved a Diploma in Nursing in his native country India. He has resided in England for 15 years and is another very experienced part of Riverside’s team.
Saji returned to work with us again two years ago after working in other environments to gain broader experience, which we are pleased he brings back to benefit us all at Riverside.
Deepa worked as a staff nurse in ITU at Yeovil hospital for eight years. She now brings her experience to Riverside to complete our team as a nurse on Riverside’s bank staff.
She is again a dedicated nurse who is passionate about caring for the elderly and supporting her colleagues.
Anna joined riverside in September 2020, she is now the Activities Co-ordinator for the home following working in various roles. Anna enjoys spending time with the residents, she prides herself in knowing each individual inside and out. She always takes the time to talk to residents and their families, getting to know everyone’s likes and dislikes, favourite activities and hobbies. She is always there if you need any assistance and is happy to answer any queries at any time.
