Our Vision - T.R.U.S.T

T - Our staff will be thoughtful in all aspects of care putting your needs first

R - We will respect your choices and never force our opinions upon you, we will allow you to be an individual

T - Together we will ensure that our staff will be trained to be the best and to deliver on these commitments to you

We will encourage you to be independent but we will support you fully when you need help.

You have the freedom to come and go as you please, if you need help then just ask, if you want to go to the shops or walk around the garden, we are here to help you.

Invite your family and friends if you wish, this is your home and they are always welcome.

Go to bed and get up when you wish, you choose how you spend your time.

You will find that everyone is patient, kind, caring and eager to help you, whatever you want to do.

A Home for Life

At Riverside Nursing Home, we focus on you as an individual and work with you, and your friends and family and other professionals, to make the transition into nursing care as easy as possible.

We gather as much information as we can about your personality, your likes, dislikes, experiences and influences as we believe that this information will help us to better understand you, the care that you need and how we can build a trusting and caring relationship with you and your loved ones.

Our nurses are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week ensuring you receive the care you need without having to wait for visits or rely on community nurses to attend the home.

Thank you so very much for all you did for Mum.  You took such great care of her and we are so grateful to you all.

E, L and C, Relatives

My husband has been in Riverside Nursing Home in Sherborne for five months now. He took a few weeks to settle down in his new surroundings at first but now has got to know the Staff. The Nurses, Carers, the Chef, all have been so kind, respectful, most of all understanding the needs of not only the residents but their families. Only recently we enjoyed an outing to Weymouth organised by the Activities Co-ordinator. Matron Judith Maidment waved us off as our special coach left Riverside. Thank you all

PW, Wife

I wanted to thank you and all your staff for the care and kindness you showed my father during his final weeks and days with you.  I can honestly say that it felt that you had all become part of the family.

ED, Daughter

The kindness you all showed us as a family meant so much in such sad and stressful times.  Thank you

ED, Daughter

My family and friends will not forget the kindness, caring, love and support you gave to all of us from the minute T arrived at Riverside.

PW, Relative

Words are never enough sometimes, but the hugs, smiles and laughs worked every time.  In other words 'you cared'.

PW, Relative

Thank you for arranging such a very enjoyable lunch for D on his 92nd birthday.

DH, Wife

Please thank all the staff, we will never forget you all for making P's last weeks so comfortable for him and bearable for us.  You are fortunate to have such a wonderful team of caring professionals at Riverside.  We cannot thank you enough.
