Making leather bookmarks at Riverside!

Most of our residents are avid readers, so here, at Riverside we made our own high-quality bookmarks to find that page worth reading! Residents this week decorated and customised their own bookmark to suit their tastes, and it was safe to say the residents were very happy with the results. This was a fun and practical activity rewarding the residents with something to keep and be proud of afterwards. Each of the customised bookmarks were made out of high-quality leather with silver or multicoloured trimmings. These are now proudly marking the page in the book they are currently reading.

My husband has been in Riverside Nursing Home in Sherborne for five months now. He took a few weeks to settle down in his new surroundings at first but now has got to know the Staff. The Nurses, Carers, the Chef, all have been so kind, respectful, most of all understanding the needs of not only the residents but their families.
