Autumn brings colder nights, shorter days, and the changing colours of the leaves. But for our residents and staff the best part of Autumn is always Halloween.
With the Blue Moon of the 31st of October fast approaching our residents have been getting inventive this week, creating their own Spooktacular pumpkins. They used their imagination to create designs of impressive spooky scenes, for example, witch’s hats, eerie trees, bats, and haunted houses.
Marker pens were used to create triangular nose designs, toothy grins and thin narrow scary eyes. These works of art are now displayed proudly around our home. Everyone involved had fun getting their hands dirty and showed off their crafting skills. Pumpkins are always so much fun to make and really help to ignite imagination.
Carving pumpkins definitely helped everyone to join in the spirit of Halloween. Proving our love for Halloween is as strong as ever. Carving Pumpkins brought back fond memories of past times for many, remembering when growing up all the excitement of Halloween and the fun it brings.
Our pumpkins now displayed around our home are spreading the spooky spirit of the season, and make a great addition to our creepy and ghostly decorations already in place.
With a full moon this Saturday let us all unleash our Halloween inspiration and celebrate in a safe and fun way. 2020 brings a Halloween that will not be the same as previous years but will be one we will always remember. The fun, fright and delight of Halloween will still be there.
