Residents put their gardening gloves on to plant some seeds of sweet peas, they loved getting their hands dirty as they sowed various seeds into about 20 pots. We used three different types of seeds to investigate how they would grow differently.
Residents have always loved gardening undertakings. Digging up dirt and planting seeds really does improve their wellbeing both physically and mentally. It is lovely to see them in the sunny conservatory with smiles on their faces as they revisit and relive old hobbies.
This activity was especially apt due to World Earth Day being celebrated this week. We really look forward to watching our small garden grow. Soon we will have a small herb garden as well as some potted strawberries and tomatoes to join our sweet peas. All of which we will eagerly wait to either use in our kitchen or alternatively with the sweet peas fill up our vases to display around the home.
