Bus Trip to Sutton Bingham Reservoir
This week some of Riverside’s residents enjoyed an outing, a bus trip to Sutton Bingham Reservoir. We luckily dodged the rain and the sun shone brightly for our lovely little trip out; it was just blue skies with barely a cloud in sight.
We took the Yeovil road and residents passed places that were familiar to them, discussing their own experiences with various shops and places within the town. They also noted many changes and developments since their last visits. We passed several spectacular viewpoints as we ventured around the reservoir.
We paused for tea & cake by the reservoir; commenting on the tranquillity and peacefulness of the view. The more observant amongst us spotted ducks and various different birds. It is such a beautiful calm place.
On our return journey we drove through country lanes, passing lots of farm animals and green fields, which the residents absolutely loved. Seeing the small lambs and calves brought about lots of enjoyment. Overall a great adventure and a lovely morning was enjoyed by all. As the weeks pass we will try to include more of our residents on these outings.
